  • Always power off the camera in between battery swaps and lens changes.

  • Never place camera down on surface on tethering side to save your port and cable from bending!

  • Use a high quality tether lock to secure cable and tethered connection on camera.

Longevity:

Cables shouldn’t be considered expendables. Follow these simple tips to keep your cables in great shape and ready for every shoot!

  • Keeps your cables in 10-12” coils and use a velcro tie to secure ends.

  • Always follow the memory of the cable when coiling and gently work out any kinks.

  • For heavy kinks - lay your cable out in the sun for 5-10 minutes and gently work them out, then recoil. This will work wonders for cables that won’t coil nicely!

  • Do not submerge cable into water.

  • Do not roll over your tether cables with monitor stands, carts, dolly, rollerblades, skateboards, crafty tables, makeup tables, etc. ;) Same applies to dropping things on the cable. It will break. :/
