Use a high quality tether lock to secure cable and tethered connection on camera.
Longevity:
Cables shouldn’t be considered expendables. Follow these simple tips to keep your cables in great shape and ready for every shoot!
Keeps your cables in 10-12” coils and use a velcro tie to secure ends.
Always follow the memory of the cable when coiling and gently work out any kinks.
For heavy kinks - lay your cable out in the sun for 5-10 minutes and gently work them out, then recoil. This will work wonders for cables that won’t coil nicely!
Do not submerge cable into water.
Do not roll over your tether cables with monitor stands, carts, dolly, rollerblades, skateboards, crafty tables, makeup tables, etc. ;) Same applies to dropping things on the cable. It will break. :/
