Introducing the QRP Pigtail System – Built for Flexibility, Speed, and Protection
Our new QRP Pigtail System features short, 0.5m cables in three configurations:
• USB-C to USB-C
• USB 3.0 Type B to USB-C
• Micro-B to USB-C
Designed specifically for photographers and digital techs, these compact cables allow you to keep your camera securely tethered using a cable lock, while adding a 5m or 10m extension as needed, without ever undoing the tether lock.
This setup provides two key advantages:
1. Quick Disconnect Workflow – If the photographer needs to break away and shoot to card, say, running down a hill for an impromptu shot—they can unplug the extension and go. When they return and reconnect, Capture One’s re-tethering feature will automatically import the new images, keeping the workflow seamless.
2. Long-Term Cable Protection – Most tethering damage happens where the cable exits the camera tether lock. The added stress at that right-angle bend is a common failure point. Our short pigtail system prevents this by acting as a buffer. If there’s ever damage or a pinch, you only need to replace the short cable, not the full $109–$159 tether, saving both time and money.
Compact, efficient, and cost-effective, this system was designed with real-world on-set needs in mind.
